It's still raining in the morning. Ugh. I futz around to avoid leaving but eventually I've just got to suck it up and get on the road. As it turns out the rain abaits and even stops after about 30 minutes. Long straight-aways through boreal forest this morning, until I reach a section of the road that meets up with Lake Superior.

Nice coves on Lake Superior. The water is ice.

When I get to Marquette I consider my options. It looks like more rain and I've got some chores to do so I decide to get another motel. I drop my gear and head straight to the laundromat. After a week of camping in the dunes I'm fairly stinky. Next up is shopping for food, getting gas, fixing a few little things. A microwave dinner in the motel room starts the evening off with a bang.

At the laundromat. Never seen a sign like that before.
