I have a lot of company for breakfast this morning. Unfortunately, what's on offer for food is just as sad as yesterday. I have a breakfast do-over at a bakery down the street before heading off. Today's mission: laundry. Things are stinking badly. In Bamberg a drunk old man (at 10am no less) tells me where to find a laundromat. One load washed and dried for almost 9 euros. Ouch. I wander around the town and drink coffee to kill the three hours needed to get the clothes done. Pretty town, Bamberg, but as soon as my clothes are clean I'm packed and off down the Main-Donau canal. Despite the long break I still manage to get in 105 kilometers because the bikepath along the canal goes fast. Later in the day I switch from the new to the old canal which is prettier but more winding and therefore slower.
