I'm out of the campground at 8:30. More great scenery to start the day along the river.
My rear rim is falling apart. Yesterday I popped a few spokes, today another. I decide I had better get it fixed before I try to go over the Pyrénées so I start heading south where I know there are larger towns. The first bike shop I find is in Salsona where I get a very cold reception. I don't know what the guy's problem is but he is rude from minute one. I drop it after a few minutes and head farther south to Lloberola. Not much there either, they don't have any 28 inch rims. I finally find a rim in Tàrrega that they mount for me, this one decent quality and 36 spokes, the works with break pads for 43 Euros. Compared to France Spain is really cheap. By the time they finish it's too late to go anywhere so I get a hotel room.
Around 7pm I feel queasy, by 7:30 I'm puking my guts up. I suspect a ham sandwich I ate earlier in the day, I had the vague feeling while I ate it that something was dodgy. I'm violently ill all night... not going anywhere tomorrow.
