Since I have new tires of course I have to break them in ;). Out to the Corbières for about 130 miles to roughen up the tires. I take it easy for the first 50 miles then start leaning in. The Corbières have some great roads, not really mountains but big hills with winding roads. Hardlyl any traffic. I meet a German biker at a cafe in a small village and we talk about riding in the area and my trip. He is from the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) near Basel and has a vacation home here in Port Barcares. The tires feel good. Mouthoumet, Couiza, Limoux, St. Hilaire, St. Laurent.

At the beach

On Sunday we take a ride up to Sete. Canal du Midi, Plages de Sete, swimming on the beach, nice hot day, water is warm because the wind is blowing on shore. Biker rally in Sete. Drinks and sandwiches on the canal. Ride up to Montpelier for dinner. Back home on the autoroute.

It's raining on Monday, the day I'm supposed to leave for Spain. The météo (weather) says there are heavy storms all along the coast down to Spain and in the Pyrenées as well so I decide to wait it out for a day.
