Back in Narbonne, good to get some sleep and stop moving for a while. Narbonne is a sleepy little town so I fit right in. A typical day consists of getting up at 11am, making coffee and eggs, then going back to bed for a nap. Nightime brings a trip to the Cafe le France for dinner and watching sports on the big screen tv. Afterwards maybe a trip to Le Centauree or Cafe Ramblas with Osh or some English guys.

Get word about the damage to New Orleans, following it on the radio and the internet. I talk to Ford in Baton Rouge and he says everyone he knows got out ok.

Greta is badly in need of a tire change. I make the trip out to Moto Sud (the local BMW dealer) to make an appointment. They don't have Michelin Macadam 50's in stock so I order them and set an appointment for Thursday. The tires come in on time and get mounted right on schedule which is somewhat of a miracle in this area from what I can tell. The total comes to 270.49 Euros. They can't get my Amex card to work in the machine so I have to use my Visa which is going to end up costing me an extra 3%. Tires changed at 128, 330 miles. I change the oil but not the filter change.
