I didn't get on the road until 8:30am but I'm giving myself a pass because I did a century yesterday. After a breakfast of pinto (rice mixed with black beans) and eggs I hit the highway. For the first 40 kilometers there was a good shoulder then it disappeared near the turnoff for Puntarenas, never to reappear for the day. It was pretty tense at times with the trucks brushing by. A store owner told me there are two cyclists 4 days ahead of me that are doing Argentina to Canada. I wonder who that is... Hot all day but no rain, I called it quits when I reached Las Cañas. I should be set up to make Nicaragua tomorrow.
