A visit to the complex built to memorialize Chiang Kai-shek. My immediate impression on entering the grounds: there must be/have been quite a cult of personality surrounding this individual.

Honor guard next to Chiang's statue, standing still like the guards at Buckingham Palace, only here it is about 33 degrees celcius (about 91 Fahrenheit) with 70% humidity. Beads of sweat were running down his face.
