Roadside shrine. There is a plaque describing why it is here. Basically a guy walked 30 kilometers in 1 meter of snow in the middle of the night, he attributes this feat to the Virgin Mary who gave him the strength to continue at this spot. So he erected a monument, which he even signed with his D.N.I (social security number). What I really want to know, but he declines to mention, is why he was out walking 30 kilometers in a meter of snow. Dated August, 2002.
